About Nowhereland

My photo
Nowhereland (Jonathan St. Amant)
California, United States
Nowhereland is an allegorical world where almost nothing exists except the citizens and captives who are living out their lives exploring the landscape, relating with other tribes, and struggling to stay alive. The "Nowherelandians" include creatures and people from nature, history, mythology, and fantasy. Themes of conflict, the environment, politics, sexuality, and other topics of social commentary are carefully woven into a satirical and often humorous narrative. As the characters freely move through the nearly empty landscape, they visually punctuate the ominous solitude and vast negative space. Each image emphasizes a single event, while alluding to the bigger picture.
