Christmas Present for my Parents

These are some watercolor cutouts I made for my parents. My dad wants to decorate the bar top in his Hawaiian style backyard by layering old postcards, drink coasters, and other Hawaiian/ Tahitian ephemera underneath a clear resin layer. My favorite is the Tahitian girl.

An old painting, rediscovered

I made this painting for my friends' Liz and Feo's wedding gift. I never got a chance to photograph it until I saw it on their wall the last time I visited them.

Untitled; 10" x 10" (including frame); mixed media on cut paper; 2009?

My Big Heart

I don't know why I haven't posted this yet, but here is my public art sculpture. If you look closely, you'll see some Nowhereland characters hidden among the crowd. It was a charity donation that benefitted the All The Arts for All the Kids organization. It was purchased by the city of Fullerton. It now lives in the Fullerton Museum Plaza.

Plankton!

New scavengers and predators have been discovered in Nowhereland. They are megaplankton. This large one just caught a ninja.

Every couple of weeks I do an art giveaway to my Facebook fans. Log on to facebook, find Nowhereland, and post a quote as a comment by Friday, August 27th.

My new art studio!

The interior of my studio is almost finished! As soon as this heat wave dies down, I can go in there and make magic!

Ninja Nudes

Sometimes, after a hard day's work, ninjas like to get a little R-rated. Or classically comfortable, depending on how you look at it.

Ninja Bookends!

These ceramic bookends serve two purposes: The first is an example for an 8th grade project I'm teaching my students. The second is to hold up art books in my future studio.

Things I've been working on

Almost finished with the art studio in my backyard!!! I can't take ALL the credit; my dad comes over to show me how it's done. That's my dog's "play fetch with me" face.

I dusted off the old button machine to make some new sets. These should be available on nowhereland.etsy.com in the near future.
